In addition to the requirements for domestic dwellings, there is also a requirement for EPC’s on

non-domestic buildings such as offices, retail units, warehouses, workshops and factories.

A commercial EPC has two parts:

      Graphic rating (as shown)

      Recommendations report

The rating is calculated on the performance of the building and its building services (such as heating, lighting

& air conditioning).

Similar to a domestic dwelling, a commercial EPC shows how energy efficient a building is and provides a rating from A to G. The certificate is produced using standard methods and assumptions about energy usage so that the energy efficiency of one building can easily be compared with another.

The EPC is accompanied by a separate recommendations report that lists cost effective and other measures

to improve the energy rating.
